A replicated plant cane trial in Brightly, Queensland, shows the ability of [Foundation LM](https://www.agricen.com.au/products/foundation-lm) to improve sugarcane performance.  Alternate replications of the grower standard practice (GSP) and the GSP + Foundation LM (5L/ha in furrow) were applied at planting in this study, which was conducted in variety SP80-1816 plant cane by a [Landmark](https://www.landmark.com.au/) agronomist.

At harvest, the small investment of 5 litres of [Foundation LM](https://www.agricen.com.au/products/foundation-lm) mixed with pre-emergence herbicides allowed the grower to pick up an additional **907 kilograms of sugar per hectare**, on average, over his standard practice.

While in-paddock photos showed little difference, the NDVI imagery below illustrates the increase in vegetative growth that ultimately allowed [Foundation LM](https://www.agricen.com.au/products/foundation-lm) to provide an excellent return on investment to the grower. 

**The difference in the tonnage average of cane was 5.22 tonnes/ha in favour of Foundation LM.**
