Foundation LM Helps Irrigated Cotton Crop Achieve Higher Yields

[fa icon="calendar"] 5/09/18

An irrigated cotton trial harvested in 2017 in Wee Waa, New South Wales demonstrates the ability of Foundation LM to help cotton crops achieve higher yields when this biocatalyst is added to a grower's standard fertiliser practice (GSP).

In the top half of the trial paddock, the yield was 13.28 bales/ha with Foundation LM versus 13.08 bales/ha with GSP alone. In the bottom half of the paddock, the yield was 12.70 bales/ha with Foundation LM versus 12.53 bales/ha with GSP alone.

Overall, adding 5L/ha of Foundation LM to the GSP led to an average cotton yield increase of 0.185 bales/ha as compared to the GSP alone, for a return on investment of $84/ha*

*ROI assumes cotton at $2 per kg.
